2019 Memorial Day Post 1776 MN

Despite the weather we had a wonderful Memorial Day Observance ceremony. And quite an emotional one as we remembered those who have gone before us. May God speed.

Because of the weather, the Post moved the ceremony indoors to a packed, standing room only house. Apple Valley City Council member Tom Goodwin who is a Marine (veteran) gave a very moving speech as the featured speaker. And Dick Tollefson our Commander gave an equally moving closing speech.

The ceremony was followed by a nice hot dog/beans & chips $5.00 meal for all in attendance. I want to thank Lloyd Cybart for organizing such a moving event as he has done year after year for the Post. Thank you Lloyd.
