Chartered Partner of the Year
American Legion Post 1776 has had an amazing relationship with Troop 9205 for years, supporting the troop both financially, as well as offering opportunities for the youth to serve. And when it was time to start Troop 7205, the Legion just said “where do we sign?”
A very involved Chartered Organization Representative, Stephen Thell has created a solid relationship between the Legion and the Troops. He has caused greater comprehension between the Legion and the Troops. He has caused great comprehension in part by talking to and explaining both Troops goals, processes, and anything else to do with the Troops to the Legion. He is not just present if he’s needed, but fully integrates himself with the adults working with the Troops, as well as making time for the youth. He has been involved in the leadership selection and is very concerned about the well-being of the Scouts. He truly wants them to succeed. As an Eagle Scout himself, he understands the importance of Scouting and the impact it has had on his life.
The Legion has had a strong foundation with Troop 9205 for years, but in his role as Chartered Org. Rep., Stephen Thell has brought the relationship to the next level by involving the Legion in regular conversations about both Troops’ activities and agendas.
Chief Black Dog District is pleased to present the Chartered Partner of the Year Award to American Legion Post 1776.
<<Editor’s note: Great job Stephen!>>
