May is Poppy Month

LADIES AUXILIARY

May is Poppy Month – The red poppy is the official symbol of remembrance for the American Legion Family—we distribute and wear the poppy before and on Memorial Day to honor our nation’s war dead. Every year the Auxiliary purchases poppies that are made by veteran’s and distribute them for donations that support the welfare of veterans, active military and their families.

Our ladies will be in the Legion throughout the month of May — this is an American Legion Family Program so please be generous!

On Friday and Saturday – May 18th and 19th we will be in the community —- we need volunteers from the Post, SAL and the Legion Riders, get a friend or spouse to volunteer with you !!!

SIGN UP SHEETS WILL BE POSTED IN THE LEGION.
