Post 1776 to Reopen June 2nd!

2 min read

Post 1776 will reopen Tuesday June 2nd with Patio Dining. Please read as there will be some restrictions as noted below.

From Commander Dick Tollefson:

Carla and Joe celebrated their 34th anniversary at the re-opening. CONGRATULATIONS!

Our patio is set up for 42 and we won’t put 2 tables in the parking lot.

So “tentatively” our hours are 12:00 Noon to 6:00 pm, Tues.- Sat. We can certainly adjust if business warrants it. So this is how it will work. You must make reservations.

I love Jody’s smile!

Please wear a face-mask when you enter through the north gate of the patio. Your temperature will be taken by a hostess- waitress. If your temperature is more than 100.4* you will not be admitted. If you are admitted you will be given a small questionnaire (5-6 ) questions which you will answer “ yes” or “no” to and give to your waitress.

Maximum stay will be 60 minutes unless tables are open. You must order food off a limited menu, an appetizer menu or the curbside menu to be served alcoholic drinks.

Smoking will not be allowed on the patio, but will be on the north parking lot and street. Both doors from the patio to the bar area are for employees only. Restrooms, if you need them, you must exit the north gate, take a left and use the main entrance. Please come straight out and do not stray, because the entire club has been cleaned and sanitized! For your safety, all waitress will wear masks and gloves and will sanitize their hands frequently. And lastly the weather will determine if the patio is open! HOPE TO SEE ALL OF YOU SOON!!

  1. The smoking being removed from the patio is a HUGE PLUS to this whole situation! Being able to sit outside to eat during the warm months without choking on cigarette smoke is going to be absolute bliss! I hope it stays that way when the inside opens back up and that smoking is moved permanently to the picnic area or parking lots away from the patio fences! Here’s to hoping!!!

    1. We’re only open for limited hours. You’ll have to ask the Governor when he will “allow” us adults to sing again.
