Tribute to Veterans Tour: Monuments, Artifacts and More Date: Tuesday, April 14, 2009 Fee: $55.00/Person Join Stan Turner, noted news broadcaster and WW II historian, in viewing war memorials, commemorative monuments, artifacts and more. Turner was the Master of Ceremonies at the 2007 dedication of the Minnesota WW II Memorial and the 2008 re-dedication of the Minnesota Korean War Memorial. See these monuments, the Vietnam Memorial, a gun from the USS Ward (first U.S. shot of WW II), Charles Lindberg Memorial, famed statesmen whose portraits are found in the Minnesota State Capitol, Memorial Hall, Vision of Peace, bell from the USS St. Paul, Navy Island and more. Significant historical information will be shared on this tour. Enter the Veterans Administration building and view the panoramic lawn of the Capitol and monuments. These and additional veteran and historical highlights will be featured on this tour. Lunch is included at the Cherokee Sirloin Room. You will have your choice of two meat selections, salad, vegtable, potato, dessert and beverage.
